Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE]
1. Who we are
These terms are between you and Turnip Ink LLC, a [STATE] limited liability company, [BUSINESS ADDRESS] (“Turnip Ink”, “we”, “us”). By buying from this site you agree to them.
2. What we sell
- Digital products: laser-cut design files (cut files) and printable PDF kits. They are generated for your order and delivered as a download. You get a licence to use the files, not ownership of the design. See the Licence.
- Physical products: finished laser-cut pieces, made to order and shipped to you.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Payment is taken by Stripe on its secure checkout page; we never see or store your card number. Shipping and sales tax, where they apply, are shown before you pay.
An address on every order. To help prevent card fraud we ask for a billing and a shipping address on every order, including digital-only orders. We may cancel and refund an order that looks fraudulent, hold an order for manual review before delivering it, and lock the download links if one order is used from many different networks. By paying you agree to these Terms; your acceptance and the IP address you ordered from are recorded.
4. Delivery
- Digital: your files are available on your order page and the link is emailed to you. Each file can be downloaded a limited number of times and the link expires after a short period (shown on the order page, currently 7 days). Downloads are logged (time, IP address, browser, file fingerprint and bytes sent) as proof of delivery, which we may give to your bank, card network or payment processor if you dispute the payment. Please download and back up your files straight away. If a link has expired or you lose your files, contact us with your order number and we will help.
- Physical: pieces are made to order. Typical making time is [X–Y] business days plus shipping time. We will email you when your order ships. See Refunds & shipping.
5. Your files are marked
Files made for your order carry your order reference and may carry tiny identifying marks. This lets us trace a leaked copy back to the order. The marks do not affect how the files cut or fit.
6. Returns and refunds
See Refunds & shipping. In short: digital files are not refundable once downloaded, except for defects; physical items have a returns policy described there.
7. Safety
Laser cutting involves fire, fumes and moving machinery. Use ventilation, never leave a running machine unattended, follow your machine’s safety guidance and cut a small test piece first. Finished pieces can have small parts and sharp or splintery edges and are not toys for young children unless the product page says so.
8. Warranty and liability
Products are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not give any warranty beyond what is stated on these pages, and our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited. [OWNER: have a lawyer review this section.]
9. Third-party names and landmarks
Some designs depict public buildings, landmarks or places. They are unofficial and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any organisation shown.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; the version on this page when you order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], USA [OWNER: confirm governing law and venue]. Questions: the.turnip.ink@gmail.com.
